Since I was a child, I've always been captivated by anything that smelled good. I inherited this love for fragrances from my family, particularly from my grandmother Meca, my uncle Angel, and my aunt Cynthia. In our neighborhood back in the Dominican Republic, I was known for always smelling pleasant. My grandmother once told me that people could tell I was walking by because they could smell my aroma long before they saw me. This early appreciation for scents laid the foundation for what would later become my passion and business.
When I first ventured into the world of aromatherapy and candle-making, I was completely new to the industry. Back in 2015, I decided to start my own business, and I began by purchasing candles from another vendor. This was my first experience with private labeling, and I quickly realized that soy candles were unlike any other candles I had encountered. They were more than just candles—they were eco-friendly, natural, and sustainable. I loved the idea of offering a product that was not only beautiful and aromatic but also kind to the environment.
The Early Days: Learning and Investing in My Dream
Starting this business was both exciting and terrifying. I remember making my first investment of $2,500 on a credit card, which felt like a huge risk at the time. It was a crazy thing to do, but I knew that to fully commit to this endeavor, I had to dive in headfirst. With the help of my vendor, we created a candle line featuring 21 different scents. Each candle was carefully crafted, and I was proud of what we had accomplished. However, as time went on, I realized that I needed to learn how to make these candles myself.
In 2017, I started experimenting with candle-making on my own. I wanted to ensure that the quality of my products remained consistent, and I knew that the only way to do that was to take control of the production process. Quality has always been a top priority for me, and I believe that if you don't make a quality product, you don't have a business. Anybody can make candles, but not everyone can make candles the way I do. I conduct extensive research before creating any new product to ensure that it meets the needs and desires of my customers. My goal has always been to improve the quality of life for my customers by providing high-quality products made with love.

It’s amazing what you can achieve when you put your soul and mind into something you care about. Despite the challenges and doubts, I've never stopped fighting for my dreams. Today, nine years after I started this journey, I'm incredibly proud of what I've built. My business has grown beyond what I initially imagined, and I'm excited about the future.
One of my goals is to continue expanding my business so that I can create more job opportunities in the Dallas, Texas community.
